There was a day, there was no day. There was nothing but Allah. Only Allah existed; there was no one else. Then Allah decided to create the universe.

The following 'mostand'/documentary/ extracted passage is based on the book ‘Explanation of the Universe and Human Being’ by the great scientist and thinker Professor Morteza Razavi. The website that publishes the works of Scholar Morteza Razavi is www.binesheno.com.

While you are reading a line from this book, the ‘hajim’/volume/diameter of the universe expands millions of kilometers. We, Allah, raised the sky, and We shall expand it. About 123 billion years ago, Allah decided to create the universe. If you go back to the beginning of time with the same calculation, you will reach a point, before the Big Bang, when the universe was as small as a pea, perhaps bigger. All happened 123 billion and 200 million years ago, before the creation of this little spherical object.

There was a day; there was no day; there was nothing but Allah. There was no Earth, no time, no solid matter, no universe, no atoms, no micro-organism, no virus, no galaxies, no solar systems, no space.  There was a day; there was no day, contradictory, but true. There was time; there was no time; but it is correct. Only Allah existed; what was Allah doing? Wrong question; such concepts such as before, after, busy, work are all earthly notions; the day that was not a day; there were no 'before' nor 'after'. Before and after are Allah's creatures; before and after do not reach Allah.

Imam Sadegh (greeting) says: Allah cannot he defined by time and place, not by movement, nor by stillness, but He is the creator of time, place and movement, stillness and transfer. Imam Reza (greeting) says: He, Allah, ‘shekaft’/ tore open the space between ‘before and after’ to see that there is no previous and no after. Imam Ali (greeting) said: ‘sokoon and harakat’/inertia does not apply to Allah; Allah created them; how can Allah be affected by something He Himself had created; now there was a day; other than Allah, there was something, something as small as a pea; perhaps a bit bigger; Allah did not create the universe as big as it is now; the original creation method was to create something small; however, this small spherical object came about not from other things nor from nothingness; philosophical schools suggest the universe came about from a past entity or from imaginary abstraction; Stephen Hawking, a physicist, believes that the universe came into being out of nothing which is contrary to the claims of the philosophical and mystical schools.

First, the initial substance for creation was made; therefore, we have no idea what it was; it came into existence, not created, by Allah's order; before this small sphere there was nothing; it cannot be called energy, time or something else; the creator of human being and the Earth when decides to do something, He simply says 'be' and the thing comes into existence, that is, the Arabic 'kon fa yakun'; Allah says 'be' and existence takes place; this is unknown to human being; creation or coming into existence is based on something already available; the primary substance must  be already at hand; Allah initiated the first primary substance. Imam Ali (greeting) says: Allah initiated the first substance; Allah instigated a marvelous instigation; without thinking or pondering; without previous experience; Allah did it without any frustration.

Hazrat Fatemah (greeting): Allah initiated the first phenomenon not from anything else already in existence; creation and appearance takes place when the first thing exists, that is, the first small substance exists; this the meaning of ‘khalq’/creation; ’ejaad’/ initiation means something is brought to existence without using any already available substance; Allah initiated that small glowing thing; the small glowing thing became the beginning of creation; the small glowing thing gradually enlarged; it simultaneously developed  and changes occurred from within.
